Ramps 1.4 stepper motor wiring colour

Good day all

Bought a He3d delta printer and got a assembly guide with it, but the wiring seems to be misleading. Im not used to the colour orientation of the stepper motors with the wiring diagram I got with the printer.
As per attached he3d wiring, seen from the opposite side from 12v power in – red/blue/black/green for the xyz axis and red/blue/green/black for the extruder motor (the black and green are swapped for the extruder).
As per attached picture from internet, seen from the opposite side from 12v power in (Also the same for my Prusa) - black/green/blue/red for the xyz axis and the extruder.

A bit confused here?

The motors have two coils. The green/ black go to one coil and the red/blue to the other. It does not matter which direction they are connected as long as one coil goes to two left pins and one goes to two right pins. Changing the order from green/black to black/green would only change the direction the motor rotates , which can be changed in config file to correct direction.

Stepper motor leads are not standardized AFAIK. They often have the colors that you see but it's not required. You'd have to look at the spec sheet if you wanted to know without testing which colors goes to which coil. Measuring the resistance between pairs should show which two wires in each pair are connected, and as George pointed out above, direction doesn't matter and can be flipped the firmware (or removed from the connector and swapped)

You don't even need to measure the resistance to tell which two wires come from the same coil
just hold any pair of wires together and try turning the motor
if it turns easy the two wires are from different coils
if its real hard to turn they are from the same coil
