Fisher Delta printer or parts in U.S.

I'm not in the market for one of these just yet, mostly just casting a line and seeing if anything bites.

But i'm interested in the future in getting a RepRap Fisher Delta printer from someone in the U.S. It's so new that i haven't seen any offered anywhere. Especially since i just learned RepRapPro shop in the U.K. has closed down.

The Fisher uses some specialist hot end and laser cut acrylic parts, some printed parts, and a bunch of standard components including ground rods, linear bearings and Duet electronics. Emakershop has some of the specialist Fisher parts. The rest should not be hard to source. The original Fisher used a 19V power supply, but you can use 12V or 24V instead for compatibility with standard hot end heaters and fans.

You might want to ask in the Fisher forum if anybody is selling one.

Thanks. Good to know that some of those custom parts are available somewhere. Again that looks like it's in the U.K., better than nothing, but a U.S. source would be preferable for me. I may ask in the fisher forum just to see as well. Curious, do you think those custom heads could be replaced with standard ones like an e3d hotend? I assume yes, but perhaps some height settings in the firmware would need to be tweaked?

I'm currently building my own lulzbot mini at the moment, but i might be willing to try building my own fisher delta. Problem is i know nothing about the fisher. Not even the custom electronics board.

See [forums.reprap.org] for a modified effector that accepts the E3D hot end.

The electronics isn't custom, it's a standard Duet. On the original Fisher it's a Duet 0.6, but you could also use the improved Duet 0.8.5 that is available in the US from Filastruder.
