Alpha Hotend: New hotend!!

Hello people,

On the past year we have been working in a new design for a hotend. We wanted to make a hotend that it is reliable, that can print at very high speed while achieving high print quality.
On our prints we have the 100mm/s as a standard speed using a direct drive extruder even with a layer height at 0,2mm. When there are small details we often increase the feedrate by 200%.(The problem with the small details comes from the printer itself and not from the hotend's functionality.)

After a year of testing we didn't have any clogs, jams or leaking. The temperatures for printing PLA and ABS have a big range for PLA from 165C and ABS 185C !
There are no plastic parts at any point. Not even PTFE tube inside the hotend or Teflon tape which many hotends use to prevent leakages.

The heatsink is made of aluminum
The heatblock is made of aluminum
The nozle is made of Bronze
The tube is made of Stainless steel

We use setscrews to attach the heating element and the temperature sensor to the heating block.

The hole for the temperature sensor is 2.5mm and that with the combination of the setscrew allow us to use almost any thermistors available. Putting them on or taking them off is very easy.

The fan is screwed on the heat sink. This makes the hotend compact and is only 18mm!

There are adapters available for J-head, bowden and of course Reprap.

And having the M6 makes it easy to adapt to any printer.

Right now the only one available is the 3mm version with the 1,75mm coming soon.
