We've been around for a little while selling bulk plastic, colorant, and working to develop home extruders (you know the ones). Recently however, while playing with our own extruders, we decided to venture into the filament business as well. We will offer filament in our store over at osprintingllc.com the same way we sell loose plastic or colorant, but we are also trying something a bit novel.
Many of us end up buying filament often, weather its because we go trhough it quickly and regularly or because we like to change up colors and characteristics. To accomodate this we thought it would be a good idea to offer subscription based filament. Here's our plan:
- We start off with 1/2 pound per month (currently of 1.75mm ABS) at $7.99
- As you increase the amount per month, the price goes down
- You fill out a queue, so you can change what color you get next month etc.
- Shipping is included in the subscription price, and when you sign up we send you a bag of samples too!
As of right now we are offering 1.75mm ABS filament in Natural, Red, Yellow, Blue, Black, Copper, and Brass, with more color choices on the way (and under development). All of our filament is made from high quality MG94 ABS plastic. This ensures high print speeds and top quality plastic. Our quality control procedures ensure that the filament is free of foreign particles and hold a tolerance of 1.75+-.05mm. Material for this filament is sourced in North America and the filament itself is made in small batches by us in the USA.
