Plenty! spinning smiley sticking its tongue out Thus far, I've sold or traded 19 kits and some miscellaneous parts. But, after the initial rush, things slowed down considerably. smoking smiley

For some parts, I have made a second batch. I'll soon have to make the second batch of nozzles.

Brian

Hello,

A question came up as to whether this offer is still valid. This offer is valid and will be for some time.

I still have lots of parts and I am making more as I need them. For example, because I was almost out of nozzles I ran off 30 of them today.

My next run of parts will be 1/2 bearings.

I've been looking at the Ponoko laser cut extruder package, it seems like these parts would, for the most part, work with that set up. Can someone with a little more knowledge confirm that?

I'm in the process of building one now with Brian's part. I should have a firm answer for you by the weekend, but for now, I can say that (just holding it together) the heater element, thermal break, and nozzle appear to work. The extruder screw and bearings will not. The Ponoko extruder relies on an m8 stud for driving, the m5(?) that Brian supplies will be too sloppy. Likewise, Ponoko uses skate bearings instead of the static bearing in the Mark II.

When I get farther along, I'll let you know (if someone doesn't beat me to it).

Hello,

It looks like the PTFE, heater barrel, and nozzle are the compatible. The only difference, that I noticed, is that the Ponoko assembly instructions show and acorn nut nozzle where I supply a machined nozzle. Either nozzle should work fine.

I'd like to buy a machined parts kit, and if you're willing to print them, the printed parts for a Darwin. I'm willing to pay extra for shipping and materials if you do print the parts for me.

Hello,

I have the machined parts; but, I don't have a working Reprap to make the printed parts with. I am sending you the payment information via private message.

Brian

Hey Brian,

I have been searching, but unable to find, the complete design to assemble with your parts. Can you provide a link? Now that I am close to wrapping up the structure, I can work on extruder.

Thanks,
Jay

Hello,

Sorry for the late reply as I don't login here much anymore.

The instructions are mostly on this page:

[dev.www.reprap.org]

However, the parts kit uses the direct drive system as explained on the following page:

[reprap.org]

Brian

would it be possible to get just a nozzle but with 10-32 threads, or even just a #21 hole and I could tap it, I would buy a few if you could do this.

Hello,

I could make a custom nozzle, however, it would cost extra as it would be a "one-off" part.

However, if you would like several, the cost per part would come down significantly as most of the time making parts is consumed setting up the machine.

How many are you interested in?

Brian

Sounds good. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. Also, the forum at [www.homeshopmachinist.net] can be a great help.
