Alloy "Y" motor mount. with or w/o Pully Flange Kit

Prusa Alloy "Y" motor mount. with or w/o Pully Flange Kit. Sorry sold out for now new on order.

► RepRap Mendel Prusa 3d printer SAE upgrade kit.

For Sale one NEW "Y"axis Alloy Motor Bracket & Pully Flange Upgrade Kit.
Kit includes one cast aluminium "Y"axis motor bracket with BELT adjuster.
one Pully Flange upgrade Kit.

The "Why-C" upgrade kit is intended to make your prusa run true by improving the rigidity of the frame and guiding a very tight belt with flanges that can rotate
smoothly with the belt and there by tighten tolarances in the "Y" axis
and the kit includes a flange set to replace the washers on the "X"axis ideler.
i have this kit on my Prusa as i did not like the printed "y" motor bracket
it is just too wimpy and printing a wider thicker one Just Looked Wrong.
ugly ugly ugly and i would still be stuck with adjusting belt tension under the "Y"
print bed over the carriage what a pain. then the relevel devil.
Now i just slide the build surface back out of my way and adjust the belt adjuster
screw with a screwdriver. well one must just loosen the motor mount screw's a bit
so motor will move then retighten but it's much easyer than what was before
and one can tighten the heck out of the belt even enough to break things like belt end clamps and the belt it's self not the Cast Alloy motor bracket.
Bling yes. i have several to sell like maybe 8 or 9 depends on how i feel.
A Cool Vitamin
And it just looks cool like "Hot Rod speed parts." only for your Prusa.
The "Why-C" bracket realy firms up my Prusa frame in front much less flex.
and not that my "Y" motor ever gets hot. it will act like one big heat sink. yes it runs much cooler.
"Try it you'll like it."
To the it must be printed or it's not Prusa folk "Nit! I say Nit!"
The thing will out last any printed part. bio degrade my butt recycle the alloy.
Metric ? it fits both no worrys Contact me... want just the alloy "Y" bracket Contact me..
it's $22 bucks US plus postage ($5.00 US in lower 48) and ( $13 something world wide.)

Alloy "Y" idler for sale $25.00 Dollar's US free shipping in USA.
[cgi.ebay.com]
Like the one in photo that is on my RepRap Prusa .
assembled.a custom part.

It' is for lowering the print bed (mine lowered 22mm / 7/8's inch) some might get more depends on size of your build bed..

By turning my "Y" carriage upside down and removing the front idler i now have direct drive and a straight shot back
for the belt it also gave me room to twist the belt so belt teeth do not contact the idler bearing in the back.

I am running with out springs on my bed. so i don't know if that makes a difference.

The belt can be really tightened but the frame is very stiff and strong now so i can way over tighten it and not see any deflection .
as it is connected to 2 threaded rods instead of just one.

It firms things up nicely with the alloy "Y" motor bracket i have on mine an will be selling again.some day soon.
Not for the faint of ♥

This entails a bunch of work on your part turning you bed carriage upside down.

Removing the idlers front and back One end at a time so to not change the rigging too much.

Installing the new Back "Y" Idler bracket. \[back bracket on mine, front for them that have motor in back]

Re rigging etc.

Re routing and adjusting your belt.

Moving or re adjusting your "Y" End Stop and your "Z" End Stop

Re-leveling at new height..yuck.

Going around and checking every nut, bolt, screw, wire and any thing else you have on your Prusa.
you do that any regularly any way huh?

It's a lot of work but i think in my case worth the 3 hours it took me to make the conversion.
i did over tighten my belt and made the motor sound funny and it did skip on a print ...
so i backed it off and things got much better.

[cgi.ebay.com]

If you already own a alloy "Y" motor mount from me i will take $5.00 bucks off. for you.
USE the Ebay Contact seller leave message thing.
