Recycling PLA and ABS

Hi,

Heres my idea:
What about all the plastic u've got left after a failed print or maybe theres something you printed and dont really care for anymore, why not recycle it?
By that i don't mean to throw it away to a junkyard but recycle it back to roll so you can use the plast all over again. I dont even know if its possible but i think it might be a great idea.
Companies which produse plasticrolls probably got that already but what about designing a small "for home use" machine?

Any thoughts about this?

I recommend using the search function, type in your topic title, "Recycling PLA and ABS" and click search.

There are a lot of discussions on this, and you can also search this topic on youtube to see DIY Grinders and Filament Extruders.
