id like to see a vessel to process old plastic into usable filament.
i remember reading about a plan to make the plastic starch based, and then have some kind of processor to make your extrudant out of potatoes or whatever.
did that turn out to be unfeasable?

Lets re-cycle our own domestic waste.

It would be really great to be able to recycle PET (PETE) [[polyethylene terephthalate]], the plastic they make all those soft drinks bottles out of.

I've looked up the melting point. It's 260 degrees!. That's way above our current limit. It would be really cool, if we could recycle these bottles directly into useful items.

Polythene sounds like a good bet but I doubt that our domestic waste would have enough clean polythene in it to be useful.
