Can someone do adaptively slice?

Anyone can do this kind of slicing? See the picture.
Why we use uniform slicing only? Is the adaptive slicing a good method?

... this was done some twenty years ago for LOM-fabbing and 'stacked' milled parts with sheets/plates of varying thickness.

AFAIK you can set the slicing heights different for multi-printhead printers ...

Slic3r support this, although you have to set the height and layer thicknesses by hand. see this page on the slic3r manual [manual.slic3r.org]

Keep in mind, that when you talk about changing the slic3r thickness, you're also changing the layer thickness of what you're printing.
