Stretch stl s?

does some one know how to strech an stl without the whole stl resizing?
i need to flatten an stl.

current setup:
i scan things in black n white,
then
i use the white/black value's too make an 3d stl, yet, i cannot create the scanned plane thinner then 3mm
thats the problem.
i need to slice the 3mm scan-to-stl-file again in order to get thinner parts.
i want to get to 0.6mm
so it would be handy if something out there could just flatten the stupid 3mm thick stl.
it is meshes and is not solid

any ideas?

Use OpenSCAD (could even do a whole series of STL's as a batch job) or use netfabb Basic to manually resize each STL (Z direction only).
