I'm a Process Engineer, new to plastic extrusion. If you are trying to extrude an acrylic or polycarb sheet with a very fine pattern that has very small voids, should you make the "melt" less viscous so it will take the pattern better? And by "less viscous" I mean heating up the melt, increasing die temps, and/or increasing roll temps. Or would you first slow down the roll speed or a combo of both?
What would you do if you needed a very crisp clean pattern to imprint?
