First off, how would we make aerogel with reprap? We definitely couldn't do so in a one step procedure. Second how would we get the supercritical CO2 drying apparatus necessary to turn gel into aerogel?

well, if i can layout a solid part for subsequent curing, that would be interesting

there's been some interesting discussion here, in the reprap community, in the neighborhood of aerogels.. and i'm wondering if there's enough interest to start into some "open source materials" work, related to application via reprap.. would be cool..

google has the tools, between knols (in depth articles), sites (org refs), groups (discuss), blogs (project updates), etc.., but is there interest?

i can't do it, i'm just a consumer, here.. expressing demand..
