Hi all,
My first post here, so be gentle...
I am researching buying a Prusa i3 and am slightly concerned about printing objects with voids or overhangs.
Is there any way of extruding a sacrificial filler into voids to support the material that is being printed?
You would obviously need a 2nd extruder for this.
Maybe a material that has a much lower melting point and could me melted away, or soluble by a certain chemical solvent and be washed away once the print is finished.
This way objects could be printed that would be otherwise impossible.
The filler could also be used to separate moving parts during printing, so that once the filler is removed the moving parts are freed up.
