[SOLVED] PLA sticking problem (borders)
September 19, 2012 05:32PM
hi all,
first of all, some info about my Prusa:
- Marlin fw
- i'm using PLA (and printing at 172°C)
- i've not hot bed
- i'm using a fan to cool down the printed part

All works quite well, but i've some problem with the pla sticking, specially in the borders, as you can see on this image:

How can i fix that?

Thanks!
Regards
M

You need to clean the tape. The oils from your hands make it not stick well. Also the first layer needs to be squished a little when printing on cold blue tape. Use pure acetone or high % rubbing alcohol to clean the tape before printing. Don't get the surface wet with it just put some on a paper towel and wipe off the tape.

Hi, thanks for the reply!
I've cleaned the tape before print with alcohol, and the sticking was very good (and of course better than before the cleaning).
