I'm very interested in your project, actually I want to make my own RepRap. It looks impossible for me, but I'll try my best.
I need some information on thermoplastics, especially weather I can cast them at home, because I want to produce some details for the first 3D printer in such a way.
I've already found some alternative techniques and materials for casting (it is called liquid plastics [
www.smooth-on.com] and Russian dealer [
www.chamtec.ru]), but I suppose thermoplastics to be more suitable.
P.S. I'm a student from Moscow.
