Problem with BLTouch after upgrading to Firmware 1.20

Hi,

I have been using Duet 3D and BLTouch together for at least a year without a problem. Today I have decided to upgrade my firmware (from 1.18 to 1.20) and my BLTouch is not working as it should now. The main problem is that the Z axis doesn't stop when BLTouch is triggered and crashes into the bed.

I didn't change any wiring and checked to see that they are firmly plugged in.

I can use M401 and M402 to deploy and retract the pin.

I can check on the test mode that a value of 1000 is shown when the probe is triggered and a value of 0 when it is deployed.

I really don't know what could be responsable for this behaviour, other than a change in how the firmware handles Z probes.

Does anyone run firmware 1.19 or 1.20 with BLTouch without a problem?

Is this happening during Z homing? If so then most likely you have your homing files configured to use a Z homing switch instead of a Z probe. See #1 at [duet3d.com].
