I think this is a question for @chrishamm, but would it be possible to have the web interface save a copy of system files when they get edited? I was thinking that keeping the last 5 would be good and to rename them like .g.1. They could be saved in the current directory, which might make the listing a bit messy, or put into a backup directory. I had a situation not long ago where I deleted a section of the config file and didn't realize it until after I had closed it.
