There was a limit of 260C added in the last one or two updates. To change it, just add the line "M143 S280" to your config file. In my example, the limit would be changed to 280C.
PID has since switched over to an entirely new method, including auto-tuning. You can find the procedure for how to do that here (Clicky!).
