TMC2100 how to get into spreadcycle?

Ok so it seems every driver clone seems to be wired differently. Anyone know how to get this into spreadcycle?

I have the exact ones in the picture:

It actually depends on your controller. Many controllers come with a pull down resistor on CFG 1 so these will run as 1/16 microstep with 1/256 interpolation in spreadCycle mode on a Ramps 1.4 or MKS Gen 1.4 by simply pulling all three jumpers.
IF you have another board you may have to figure them out based on how your board configures the three CFG pins....

BTW this forum is for Marlin Firmware questions, this is a hardware question smiling smiley

Good point. My apologies. In the end I bridges the solder pads on the back for GND-CFG1 and I can tell is works as I have the infamous humming sound now smiling smiley

What controller do you have?

I have Ramps 1.4 in my printer and an MKS Gen 1.4 in the drawer waiting for a new printer build.

Tried them in both, just pulled the three jumpers and set my Vref and was amazed at how silent everything got.
All I hear is fans and mechanical noise from the belts now. I would need to put a stethoscope on the stepper motors to hear them....

I have this one

If they are silent then you are in stealthchop and not spreadcycle.

As you can see on this page, the cfg1 and gnd are not connected on the actual board. I had to solder them and the result was obvious. Just out of interest, what vref have you set?

I measured resistance from my cfg 1 pin to gnd and proved I have a pull down resistor in place on my Ramps board so cant be in stealthChop.....

I am running 1.3v on most of my steppers but y-axis has a smaller motor and I have to push it to 1.37v, my extruder is at 1.45v

Nothing over heats, my motors all stay good with the hottest one running 41c after a 6hr print.

I've the same problem I'm using fysec tmc 2100 v1.3 I've cut cfg 2 and cfg3 from driver and bridge cg1 to gnd and also remove all pin below the driver in ramps 1.4

I've set my vref to 1.0 volts and still I've missing steps, how I know if is in spredcycle mode?
