Can anyone tell me what the difference is between regular advance (http://reprap.org/pipermail/reprap-dev/2011-May/003323.html) and linear advance (http://marlinfw.org/docs/features/lin_advance.html) in Marlin firmware? I know linear advance is newer and I know what that does but I'm not sure about the regular older advance. Do they do the same thing and one is just a different formula? I notice the range of k values that they take is very different.
