Why update firmware if working fine?

Just a question, I have an FB2020 corexy home built. It works fine with Marlin 1.0. Why would I update to newest Marlin release if it works fine?

you wouldnt...

unless you need to replace a critical part, say a thermistor

or add a second extruder

or even another controlled fan.

or add in a new type of disaply...

Of you just want a new feature such as thermal run away protection.

Or... You want to bring up the Unified Bed Leveling system that just got merged...

I went to a several Dollar stores. I have the worst piece of glass that $.99 can buy. You can see dips and peaks in it when you look across its surface.

I get perfect adhesion across the whole bed 100% of the time.

It just got merged into the Marlin main stream code base.

(That might be a reason to load up the a newer copy!)

Thanks for the replies. I was just asking because I have seen that there are updates available to Marlin.
With my current setup I am having no issues, all is working.
I bought a piece of borosilicate glass and with a heated bed I don't have any first layer adhesion problems, also my LCD works fine.
