Auto calibration whit Marlin Firmware.
March 13, 2017 10:35AM
Greetings I hope you are well, my name is felix and I am super new working with 3D printers eye rolling smiley. And I currently have a mini rostock, with a proximity sensor and use of the Melzi board. The questions I have: Using the firmware of the marlin, the automatic calibration after each print and the firmware does everything automatically?
I do not have to point anything, just point the G29 in the print script, to do the auto calibration automatically and then start the impression?

Help confused smiley

It is typical for the start up GCode in your slicer to have G28 and G29 close to the end. In theory... That will get your printer setup to do the right thing when the real GCode from the print starts coming at it. Now... A lot of people are setting things up so after the machine homes and levels itself, the nozzle is .1mm above the bed (when you say G1 Z0.0000) Some people are using Z-BabyStepping to exactly set the nozzle height when the print starts drawing the skirt.
