How accurate can these printers be? Can they be in range of microns?
Since it is an open source cam can it integrate with any cad software?

Anything can be expressed in microns, e.g. my height.

Do you perhaps mean single digit microns i.e. < 10 microns, or double digit perhaps < 100 microns.
Also are you talking about X & Y positional accuracy or LAYER HEIGHT?

I have read of one individual that can print with a layer height of 0.005mm (5 microns) using an Ultimaker with a bowden extruder and very high extrude rate > 150mm/s.

If you want a relatively fast highly accurate 3d printer then you need to go to stereo lithography (UV resin printer).

5micron is perfect for what I had in mind but how long would the production time be to print 1cm height, ultimaker and bowden extruder? Where can I get them? I just wouldn't have a clue

From the Ultimaker shop of course.

As far as the build time I don't know, you might ask on the forums there. But the height in cm is only valid for a particular x/y area. The large the X/Y area the longer the build time for 1cm.
