Newb moment. What is the ATX switch for on the Web interface?

I'm constantly trying to figure out why my Fisher suddenly stopped connecting to the network. Anywho, through all my forum reading someone mentioned if it was on or off. And discussion of which it should be on, but no indication of what it did. I know it's to do with the power supply.

So what does it do and could it be effecting my network?

The ATX switch on the web interface sends either M80 or M81, which controls the PS_ON pin on the Duet. On the Fisher this pin is not used, so these buttons won't have any effect. You can disable it on the settings page once again unless you are planning to modifying your machine.
