Hi,

This is my first 3d printer build and I was attaching the electronics to test them. The lcd was initially working and I was able to control motors.
However, after I restarted it, it just displayed black blocks on the screen confused smiley

. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Do you re-uploaded Marlin firmware on it?

I have had a similar issue when i have do a re-upload to the firmware and selected a wrong LCD in Configuration.h

Yeah I checked all the firmware and the settings are all ok...I think the problem was I unplugged the stepper motor without cutting power.
Will that have affected the lcd?

Take off all the stepper driver boards and see, if the LCD comes back to life.
If not, try to get a USB connection between controller and PC ( eg. pronterface ) to see if the controller is dead.
If it´s OK, put one driver at a time back and see, where it fails. The driver you unplugged under power, is most likely the candidate....
