i started building a scara printer need help with what type board is good and what firmware i use repetier host
looking at smoothieboard MKS SBASE + MKS TFT32 V3.0 DISPLAY

I AM STILL BUILDING GOING TO NEED HELP WITH PROGRAMING

You won't need to do much "programming", more "configuring" and there are plenty of guides out there for doing so. I personally can't help much with SCARA since I haven't used them before. The helios uses smoothieware I believe so you can look at that for a starting point.

I suggest you ask at [forums.reprap.org].

The MKS Robin board that you linked to is closed source, so you may have difficulty getting firmware support for it.

That's an 8-bit board, and although the are SCARA printers using 8-bit electronics, SCARA printers benefit from 32-bit electronics even more than deltas because of all the trig calculations. But a lot depends on having good firmware support for your chosen electronics, because SCARA printers are rare so SCARA support in firmwares tends to be less well developed. You might want to ask for advice on the SCARA section of this forum.
