Sdprint failing repeatedly after a few minutes from startup

Hi, I have a ramps 1.4 + arduino mega+ 2004 lcd smart controller with marlin 1.1 .x as firmware.

I am having trouble while using sd card for 3D printing.

My 3D printer resets after completing a certain percentage of a model. For a particular 3D model the printer resets after completing a particular percentage.

The problem is not with shielding. I have shielded the lcd smart controller cable using aluminium foil.

I discovered that my micro sd card adapter has mechanical 'read only' switch on and is jammed.

Does arduino mega write to sd card while 3d printing ?

Can you try to print the same object from SD but power the arduino from USB?
I think the 5V onboard supply overheats.
