Having some trouble with my geeeTech board

Hey everyone this isnt exactly a reprap question, but I have a CTC dual printer and its mainboard died after 500+ hours of use (not bad actually) anyway, i replaced it with the only mightyboard i could afford at the time with was the GeeeTech one avaliable off of amazon for 75$. it seems to work ok, but im having some trouble with the microstepping. it uses DRV8825 stepper drivers, which seem to move half as far as they need to. Usually when a print starts it moves to the far end of each axis, now it moves more or less half that distance. So my question is, does anyone know how to adjust the microstepping on this type of printer board? I have a set a4988s also.

are you talking about this board [www.geeetech.com] ?

It does look like its permanently wired for all mode lines to be high ie 1/32 on DRV8825 and 1/16 on a4988

ie

An easy hardware fix would be to remove the M0 and M1 pins from the pololu module to reconfigures DRV8825 as 1/16th
