After building a couple of k8200's, and modifying an xyz davinci that I got my kids for christmas a few years back I decided I wanted one for my self but couldn't justify the cost, so I decided to build a less expensive one from scratch.
My goal was to make it as simple as possible, use parts that were easy to obtain locally, and keep costs under 150 Bucks.
So far this printer has been very reliable and was pretty simple to build:
