Pololu driver damaged potenziometer

Hi there,

I've just built a RepRap Mendel Printer. First Testrun was ok. But the pololu drivers went too hot.
So I reduced the potenziometers on each driver. Accidentaly I crashed one potenziometer so the driver board now causes a short cicuit I guess.
The Arduino shuts down when I connect that driver.
I will order a new driver next week.
Now for the weekend I want to place a resistor instead of the potenziometer. Could that be a short-term solution.

I'm so happy that the first run was ok. But now I can't get any further.
Please help..:-)

Have a nice day, Edgar

I would just leave the potentiometers and get yourself a ceramic screwdriver to keep yourself from shorting the driver out

thank you for your reply.
So no way for a short term solution?
