Was having issues with consistant Z positioning so I snapped off the little metal arm. Now the button gets depressed directly. Seems to have solved the problem. Thought you guys would like to know.

Those little springy levers combined with the internal mechanical hysteresis of the switch itself make zeroing a very imprecise process. Pushing on the little nub on the switch is better. I recently switched from that to an optical Z endstop and find there is no hysteresis, so setting it is very easy and precise- no turn-until-it-clicks-then-back-off-1/4-turn type nonsense.

It sounded like on previous posts that there were some issues with transients from the printer that can cause problems with some sensors. If you aren't seeing that do you mind giving a link to the sensor you are using. I would like to get one. Thanks.
