Reference X Axis does not work correct

Hello Everyone,

My self build printer is working fine except that the Referencing for the X-Axis is running the wrong way first time!
I pressed the X-Axis mechanical endswitch to stop it crashing into X plus.
After I reference Y, the X Axis will reference correctly if i start referencing X again.

What the heck is wrong here???

Please Help. eye rolling smiley

So you are saying that when you start your printer up the X axis moves toward + when you tell it to go -. However, moving(?) your Y asix causes your X axis to start going the right direction?

There is a setting in the firmware for which direction the axis shold go, but it should always go the same way. The reversal of your axis suggests to me a firmware issue. I would do somemore testing to validate this is what is happening. Is it moving long distances the wrong way or only short distances? An incorrectly wired stepper motor can present with erratic movement, but my experiance has been that it kindof just twiches (only moves just a little bit).
