RUMBA issue at Mosfet level (all of them gone?!)
March 25, 2015 02:25PM
Got a GEEETECH RUMBA board which I set up with Marlin and printed 3 sets of pieces just fine.

During the fourth print, i notice the extruder was not extruding plastic at all so I initially thought of it having got clogged, so I did cancel the print, remove the extruder, clean up the hod end, and re mount.

After that, hot end was no longer heating.

After checking everything I could starting with wires, shorts, etc. I end up in the RUMBA motherboard, where all the mosfet line HE0 to HE2 and both FAN1 and FAN2 no longer deliver 12v.

All of them behave like this (pay attention to the LED and the voltage)

Everything else works just fine: USB, firmware uploads, drivers, motors, temp sensors, bed heating fine...

Any clues where can I keep investigating or is the board (almost) dead already?

The mosfet line is not even 100% dead... but I dont know what to check next, if anything. I can't spot any burnt components nor shorts anywhere...

Any clues?

THanks a lot!
