Wiring up my heatbed for a mendel i2

Hi, can someone please tell me what each terminal on the heatbed is for and how do I connect a thermistor to this? Also does anyone know if the leds are required and why there are meant to be 2 of them? Sorry for all the questions but is there anyway I can damage my ramps board by powering it up without connecting my computer or any components to it just to check it.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Ben

The two LEDs are there so that one will light up regardless of how the heated bed is connected: [reprap.org]. Read the full page - lots of info on your heated bed.

The thermistor is not connected to the heated bed. The glass bead of the thermistor is poked through the hole in the heated bed so that it contacts your glass printing surface (if you have one). The thermistor is wired directly to your electronics board.
