All metal hot end and plastic mount

Hey guys, will an all metal hot end melt my plastic injection molded holder? Thanks.

Depends of the temperature the hotend will reach. If it stays under 150°C everything will be OK. Otherhand, if the temperature raise for any reason, the part goes scrap. That happened to me : the fan was off for too long, dunno why. Now I machined a teflon part and I don't care. An aluminium part could make it too.

Well, if it doesn't melt the plastic fan housing that snaps around the hotend fins, then it won't melt anything (unless the fan fails!) The fan should be hard wired to the PS,
