Motor Problem maybe

Hi - can anyone see what is happening here? (pls see pic) The RepRap X axis is kicking out in the same place when moving right. Cant decide if its software or hardware. I dont think its the motor because it doesn't repeat across the print. Its worst on the first layer when it prints the little kick and then returns and threatens to foul on the wonky bit.

Is the nozzle crashing into the print? If so, you could try the Z-lift option in your slicer.

It would have really helped if the video didn't have that racket playing in the background - listening to a machine working is as important as watching it.
