Pronterface and Slic3r handshake

I messed something up in the options of Pronterface . . . I used to be able to "open file", select an STL file, and it would altomatatically call Slic3er, do the slice based on my preset config and bring it up in the interface . . . but in troubleshooting other problems, I somehow messed this up . . . Now when I try to open an STL it says this:

Failed to execute slicing software:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "pronterface.py", line 1354, in skein_func
File "subprocess.pyc", line 623, in __init__
File "subprocess.pyc", line 833, in _execute_child
WindowsError: [Error 2] The system cannot find the file specified

Does anyone know how I can re point Pronterface to open and slice automatically?

Pronterface Settings / Options and click on the External Commands tab. Check the "Slice command" and "Slicer options command" for the location of slic3r.exe - it will either be a relative path (relative to where Pronterface is installed) or an absolute path, if it starts with a driver letter (assuming you're in windows). Check to see that's where you have Slic3r installed. From your error message, it sounds like Slic3r.exe is not where Pronterface is expecting it.
