Hello everyone,
I have just been tuning the PID for the extruder and realised there is an option in marlin that allows PID for the bed as well. Does this work with RAMPS 1.4 and if so why do most people use bang bang instead?
PID works just fine for the heated bed, but it is overkill. The heated bed reacts so slowly that the temperature can be accurately maintained with bang bang.
