Controlling a 2nd hot end with Azteeg X3 Pro

I'm having problems controlling the second hot end on my Azteeg X3 pro. Has anyone else used this board or other RAMPS boards to control two hot ends? If so I need some advice. The first extruder heats with no problems and I can extrude no problem. The second extruder has been nothing but problems. When I turn the heat on in Proterface the first one heats to 240°C in less than 10 seconds, when I set the second heater, I can see it dimly blink the heater LED but it would take several hours to gain 10-20°C. How can I change the way the second heater ramps the power? I can't seem to find it in the Config.H or the Config_adv.H
