After the positive feedback in the german usergroup, i would like to share the second build here. smiling smiley

One month ago i build the printer in his lower version: http://forums.reprap.org/read.php?336,277564

*Overview*
- prusa compatible x-ends, x-carriage
- LM8UU standard
- optional: fishing line drive
- heated enclosure for better ABS results
- sturdy, compact, beautiful
- electronics, supply integrated

*Credits*
Remix of Mendel90 by nophead
x-ends:kuehling derivate
x-carriage:kuehling derivate
lm8uu-holder:kuehling derivate
coupling:nophead
y-bracket:nophead derivate
filament-pulley:doublemind
extruder:reprap-fab.org V3 direct drive

For this build i used some parts of the best "budget" 3d printers: mendel90 and kuehling's prusa parts.
So it's opensource, you can find the build files here: http://the-sparklab.de/ubrptzr-40k-v3-das-gleiche-in-hoch-bitte/

Here's a pic of the recently build one:

Let's start with the high version of the ubrptzr 40k v3:

Glueing together the two "L's" of the enclosure:

The right angles of all axes are given during the correct shaped enclosure parts. So it's really easy to become correct angled results.

Looks great!

What are you using to cover the MDF board with?
It looks like a film with adhesive backing.
You are using 3 colors, white, blue, and black.
Got a link?

You might want to seal the cracks around the front enclosure door with foam weather stripping (adhesive backing).

Yes it's a PVC film with adhesive backend from my local hardware store. It's called DC-fix and sticks well on raw MDF. With other foil you maybe have to prime the MDF.
Painting would be a better solution, but i don't want to mess up my student residence.smiling smiley

The chamber reaches 40°C (104°F) without sealing. I don't want to go higher, it could cause failure in my filament drive. But if you have got a bowden drive and place it outside it would be a good idea.

Same problem here, as in my other Thread - I have to wait for parts... But delivery was promised monday.
