part looses hold on heated bed

Hi,

I'm having trouble trying to get a small part to maintain its hold onto the heated bed. About 30% into the print the hotend will knock it off. I'm printing with PLA and have tried pretty much everything from turning the heated bed up high to not having it on at all. Does anyone have any suggestions?

thanks
Kyle

When I print PLA onto glass, I first use a dilute solution of while glue (elmers). I dilute 4 parts water to 1 part glue, and I'm not very scientific about it. I wipe it on with a paper towel and it dries in a few seconds it the bed is hot. I clean it up with nail polish remover, but other solvents may work too.

With this, lifting parts are virtually a thing of the past. Yes - it still happens once in a while, but I've been very happy with this solution (no pun intended)

Are you putting a brim on the parts? If not, it would be a good idea. Most slicing programs will do this without much effort.
