Monotronics board testing?

Hi all!

I finally found a decent bit of free time to have another go with the reprap after not using it for a long long time. However the older version of repsnapper that I was using would not load on the PC, maybe a windows update has upset it? I've downloaded version 2.2.0 which seems to find the machine and connect. However I seem to not have full control. I can turn the hot end on but have no temperature reading and have managed to get one of the axis to move slightly but nothing since. I've tried the reprap software too but get the same problem.

Looking at the board there appear to be signs of moisture, I'm wondering if it's been damp and has failed? Anyone know any tests that I can do to prove or disprove the board?

Thanks

The board could use a good scrub. Pure alcohol is the most commonly available solvent for the task. You want to avoid the drug store variety, it's got "stuff" in it. The paint store has the kind you need.
