Hi,
Ive finished building my prusa i3 but the heatbed wont heat past 117 degrees C, im using the 12v 30amp power supply with 18 awg wire and mk2 heatbed, any ideas what might be causing this? thanks

put some isolator below heated pcb. also if its cold in room i think thats ok...

Yeah i was thinking the aluminium frame might be sucking all the heat away. any suggestions on what to use for the isolator?

Cotton batting is fine, survives about 400 °C. Cosmetic batting is typically made of cotton.

well, i am lazy ass guy so i folded few sheets of newspaper, and clamp it in sandwich with glass and pcb....it works
