Upgrade X ends on a Prusa i1

I have a MakerGear Prusa i1 (I know I said i2 in my previous thread, but this was pointed out to me is incorrect, it is a MG modified i1, apparently):

Setup 1
Setup 2

The X ends are i1 parts, and they have a design flaw that allows the belt to pull the smooth rods such that they get bent when the X belt is tightened hard enough. As it happens it is too slack when the rods are not bent, and the rods are bent when it is tight enough. This obviously causes some problems, binding is one of them.

I printed these parts with reasonably good quality:

However, will these parts solve my problem? Only the motor end has a closed end to prevent the smooth rod from sliding out. When the other end (the idler) has no such closed end, what will stop these parts from me experiencing the exact same problem as before?

I would use these ones, - they allow you to clamp all ends of the smooth rods so the belt tensioning will have no affect on them.
