pronterface clerify

I attached a jpg of a screenshot of pronterface. I'm looking in the lower righthand corner and i see it says my part is 5mm tall. I also see it is 4 layers thick.
Does this mean each layer is 5mm / 4 = 1.25mm per pass., or is a layer diferent than a pass.

I beleive my settings are for .4mm in Z per pass which to me = about 12-13 layers.

Please help me understand what im seeing here.

As far as i know it means 4 layers over the height of 5mm, so each layer is 1.25mm. Seems like an error, if you configured your slicer for 0.4mm/layer you should have at least 12 layers.

Did you print it? Maybe that could clarify the issue.

By the way, what's the diameter of your nozzle?

You can always try this simulator before printing when your still new:

Since i wouldnt rly try 1.25 on a 0.4 nozzle lol tongue sticking out smiley

I cant print yet as the extruder heater is kicking my powersupply off. I will start a new thread for that.
