Hi all..
I have a Huxley, and I am about to build a second.
I'm wondering if this would be of interest to anyone.. It's a pain for me sourcing all the threaded rod / smooth bars / and nuts and bolts.
So.. here's the deal..
printed parts are expensive in time... threaded rod, smooth rod and nuts and bolts probably come to about £20 I reckon.
While I am printing 1 set of printed parts, I'll print 2. While you are sourcing one set of threaded rod, smooth rod and nuts and bolts, you'll source 2.
I'll swap you a set of printed parts for a set of the basic metal parts, and we both get a huxley.
We just have to add our own bed, motors, electronics and extruder. (not as much as it sounds, Huxley running on Melzi is EASY)
If there is more than 1 person who wants to come and join us.. I'm sure we could split it all up ;-)
PM me if you are interested.. I'm thinking of printing 3 Huxleys so my nephews can have one too, so I'm prepared to print 4 if anyone else wants 2 !
PM me if this makes sense to anyone.. I'm sitting here next to my Huxley, and I def need another !
cheers
Dave
