starting prusa mendel

I am new to Prusa Mendel. I have finished putting the hardware together. Soldered RAMPS 1.3. Tested Arduino Mega2560. Blink works. What is the software that i need to install to get my RAMPS working with Windows 7?

do you have the firmware installed? if not then you need the Ardiuno software, once that is done either Pronterface or Repsnapper to control the printer

I just mostly finished my Prusa RepRap build this weekend. My nichrome wire shipment was delyaed. But I have everything else up and going.


Software I used:
Arduino v 0.22 - Note: Arduino v1.0 would not upload with my RAMPS 1.4 board attached., But Arduino v0.22 will.
Marlin - Frimware used to drive the system.
Python 2.7.2 - needed for skeinforge
Skeinforge revision 49 - Needed translate stl code into gcode
Slic3r -Needed translate stl code into gcode Note: Only one translation tool is needed. But Slic3r seemed to have issues converting the Prusa Iteration 2 STL files, so I downloaded skeinforge.
Repetier-Host - Used to send send GCODE to the Reprap.

Option:
openSCAD - used to generate STL files.
