Today (tonight) I got my first extrusion! I still have some parts left to make for the extruder, but the heater tube, coil, nozzle, PTFE insulator, etc. are all there and working. I strapped them to an Arduino an hacked up some temp. control firmware.
I got some ABS welding rod from McMaster that I'll be playing with and I'll be strapping the extruder to my cnc mill. Sounds familiar? Yeah, I'm hoping to mimic some of Nophead's crazy progress!
