Just curious. Would it be feasible to teach middle school students how to make and use a makerbot? I know it would be cool, but I don't know how difficult these are to assemble and to use.
My 3 year old daughter did about 1/2 of the physical construction of my Makerbot (I took it back apart after shooting my video).
Both Mendel and Makerbot are pretty simple, just a lot of screwing in and plugging. Mendel takes a little more soldering unless you use the Makerbot tool chain.
