Is my filament past its due?

Ive had a roll of transparent filament for some time now, and didnt use it for about 2 weeks.

2 weeks before, it came out of the nozzle just fine, but now its all "crunchy". No popping sounds near the nozzle.

Is this crunchy look a sign that the humidity got the best of it?

Edit: best I can describe the "crunchy" look is that it looks not like one straight filament line when out of the nozzle, but more like a lot of small pieces that stick to each other, so the transparent filament is not that transparent, but looks crumpled.

Some PLA filaments dry out and become brittle when off the reel. If you unwind some filament from the reel, you may find it is OK underneath.

Yeah, exactly what happened. The first 3-4 layers were a bit different, the more layers it printed, the better the layers looked thumbs up
